• What’s your favorite thing about Brooklyn Avenue School? 

The community that we have built over the last two years.

• Which school event are you most excited for this year? 

Everything the PTA sponsors - the dances, the movie nights, the Holiday event in the winter...It's all such a fun time!

• What does the PTA mean to you? 

The PTA means that I have the opportunity to offer my child through volunteering and enriching learning experience in and out of school.

• What grades are your children in? 

Both are in Fourth Grade.

• What’s your favorite thing about Brooklyn Avenue School? 

The community of supportive families really make our school special.

• Which school event are you most excited for this year? 

Fall Festival

• What does the PTA mean to you? 

Collaborative involvement and advocacy for the betterment of all our children.

• What grades are your children in? 

My son is in the 4th grade.

• What’s your favorite thing about Brooklyn Avenue School? 

My favorite thing about the school is the sense of community, it feels like a big family.

• Which school event are you most excited for this year? 

The year end BBQ is a favorite of mine. Love to see the parents give back and serve in such a tangible way to the kids.

• What does the PTA mean to you? 

• To me, the PTA represents community, collaboration, and support. It’s a way for parents, teachers, and staff to come together with a shared purpose—ensuring that our children have the best possible educational experience, both inside and outside the classroom. I see it as the bridge between home and school, where everyone’s voice matters and contributes to a stronger, more supportive environment for our students.

• What grades are your children in? 

Third and Fifth Grades

• What’s your favorite thing about Brooklyn Avenue School? 

The Staff and Teachers at BAS!

• Which school event are you most excited for this year? 

The Halloween Dance and Graduation!

• What does the PTA mean to you? 

Getting the opportunity to give back not only to my children but to all children.

• What grades are your children in? 

Third and Sixth

• What’s your favorite thing about Brooklyn Avenue School? 

There are many things I love about Brooklyn Avenue - Dr. Comis, the teachers, the diversity and the sense of community.

• Which school event are you most excited for this year? 

I am excited to see the exhibit night and also all of the great things the PTA has planned for this year.

• What does the PTA mean to you? 

The PTA means a way of staying connected to the school, our kids and supporting them in the best way possible.

• What grades are your children in? 

My son is starting the Fifth Grade this year.

• What’s your favorite thing about Brooklyn Avenue School? 

The strong sense of community at BAS.

• Which school event are you most excited for this year? 

The Fall Festival and just giving back to the children in general.

• What does the PTA mean to you? 

Getting the opportunity to see the joy in the faces of not only my children but to all students at BAS.

• What grades are your children in? 

Third and Sixth.

• What’s your favorite thing about Brooklyn Avenue School? 

My favorite thing about Brooklyn Avenue School is the strong sense of community. The teachers, staff and families all work together to create a supportive and welcoming environment where our children feel encouraged to learn and grow.

• Which school event are you most excited for this year? 

I look forward to the end of the year BBQ and the holiday events, but most of all being part of creating the happiness and joy our kids experience with these events!

• What does the PTA mean to you? 

To me, the PTA represents a community of teamwork. It's about building a supportive environment. I believe when we come together, we can make the school experience so much better for every child.

• What grades are your children in? 

Third and Fifth.

• What’s your favorite thing about Brooklyn Avenue School? 

My favorite thing about Brooklyn Avenue is how it has become more diverse over the years. As a second time around BAS Mom, so many things have changed since my daughter graduated years ago. I also like that with all the change, there are still many of the wonderful teachers still at the school after all this time.

• Which school event are you most excited for this year? 

I'm looking forward to the Fall Festival again this year. It was an amazing event for the school and community last year.

• What does the PTA mean to you? 

PTA to me means a sense of community, where different families come together to create events and experiences for our children that will last a life time.

• What grade is your child in? 

My son will be going into the Fourth Grade.
